BokehJS Standalone - Tutorial Help

Hello,

we are working on integrating your library in our system. We need to us both the python version and the JS one.

We tried, successfully, to generate a JSON configuration from python and produce a JS graph.

What we can’t do is use the library as standalone. For some simple graphs the server data manipulation is not needed.

We tried using the example you provided: https://github.com/bokeh/bokeh/blob/master/sphinx/source/docs/user_guide/bokehjs.rst

I copy-pasted it and it wasn’t working. I also built a JSFiddle with the relative version of BokehJs, with no success (the source change method is not recognized): https://jsfiddle.net/831twr0z/

With the release of 1.0.0., we tried again: https://jsfiddle.net/brtL1gvf/. No error is emitted, but the graph is not correctly rendered.

We have no idea what we are doing wrong, but we weren’t able to make any of the examples we found run.

Could someone please help us?

Hi, having a stable and reliable BokehJS API is definitely a goal we would like to achieve, however the reality is that we have not had resources to prioritize it as much as we'd like yet, which is one reason we also do not advertise it very much yet. You best bet for good examples is here:

  https://github.com/bokeh/bokeh/tree/master/bokehjs/examples

AFAIK these are the only things run as part of our continuous testing. Specifically these appear to all be in good order:

anscombe/
categorical/
charts/
donut/
legends/
linked/
stocks/
