Hi all
I can not figure out how to set the width of simple button in bokeh, I feel quiet stupid.
Any help is much appriciated

Hi Ivo,
Please don't feel bad, layout is one are of Bokeh that needs improvement, and in fact there is currently a comprehensive effort underway to improve and overhaul the layout capabilities of Bokeh. I don't think there is currently any way to control the width of a Button directly. However, in the mean time, until the coming improvements are ready, I do believe it would work to put your Button in an HBox layout, which does have a "width" property that you can set.

Thank you very much for your answer, I did as you told and it worked like a charme - yeah.
I find bokeh a really cool project. Unfortunately I often end up googling for hours to find solutions to very simple problems. In my humble opinion the linking of the howto and the source code would be nice.
On the other hand a lot of advanced stuff is astonishingly easy to do. I have a web application without writing a single line of html, very cool.
I could not find a donate button on Bokeh documentation — Bokeh 3.3.2 Documentation . Would be happy to support bokeh.

We are always looking for ways to improve the docs. Can you explain more what you mean by "linking of the howto and the source code"? I'm just not quite sure what exactly you are suggesting here.
Regarding monetary support, that is a generous offer! We do intend in the next 6-9 months to become a NumFocus sponsored project, which will make collecting and accounting for donations much simpler for anyone that would like to do so. So one option would be to wait for that. Otherwise, in the short term, you can email me directly, and I will loop in any other individuals who can help figure out how contributions should be handled.
