DateRangeSlider error not logged nor shown in CLI

I have just started developping a small Bokeh app template (https://github.com/hyamanieu/softfocus\) and I noticed the following bug:
  • Insert a DateRangeSlider of which max and min are the same date
  • Output (client side): blank page
  • Output (server side): everything looks fine in the CLI
    • logs: no unusual message, also with the options --log-level debug or --log-level info
It took me a while to find the origin of the problem due to the lack of logging.

Am I missing something in the log settings? How could have I found the origin of the blank page quicker?

Conditions:

  • Tested on both Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04
  • Python 3.6, tornado 4.5.2, bokeh 0.12.15
  • Firefox

Also, thanks so much for this library! I would have hated having to learn Javascript .
