I am building an application,
it should on clicking the button, should bring up the file open dialog, where the user selects the file, the data is read from the file and new graph is added to the page.
Kindly guide me on how to create file open dialog. I tried pyside for file open dialog, but the dialog stays on screen after selecting the file.

That seems more like a PySide question, than a Bokeh question. You might have better luck on a mailing list or forum for Pyside. In any case, just FYI, you'll always have better chances for help in any forum if you share a code example of what you've tried. Lacking any details, it's basically impossible to speculate on what might help.
