GMapPlot API key in html source

Hi,

The Bokeh plots with GMapPlot contains the developer’s google maps api key in the source, which is problematic to share the html file with other users. Please look into this.

Thanks,

Siddhant

Hi,

You'll have to be more specific. I am not sure what you are asking for. Ultimately, to use GMaps, Google requires that an API key be supplied, there is no getting around this, and it is out of our control. I'm not sure how Bokeh is any different from any HTML file that has a Google Map included in. The API is required, it has to be there. If you have some concrete idea for a different way to deliver the key, please feel free to make a feature request on GH with a specific and detailed proposal.

Thanks,

Bryan
