linking / brushing on column instead of row indices

Hi,

I just started using bokeh, and had all ready some good looking results, however there is something I cannot manage to get it working yet.

I would like to link data from a pandas dataframe by a specific column instead of the row indices, is this possible?

I asked as well on stack (link), but I found out through git that this should be the location to ask for help.

The is the link to the stack question with a MWE.

please let me know your thoughts.
