PhantomJS is deprecated, is there an alternative for saving images as png?

Hi,

PhantomJS is deprecated because the (sole) author decided to stop development on it. However, it's not broken, it works perfectly fine for Bokeh's needs, there is no particular reason no to use it, as long as you have a selenium version installed that supports still supports it.

The export_png can accept other selenium web driver objects, but there has not yet been thorough development of this possibility. Last I checked, e.g. using the Chrome web driver had issues with HiDPI ("retina") displays detecting the proper pixel scaling. But maybe things have changed. You might help out by trying it out (or the Firefox web driver) and reporting back.

Thanks,

Bryan

Hello there,

Since PhantomJS is deprecated (Issues · ariya/phantomjs · GitHub) and export_png depends on Selenium and PhantomJS, I assume that export_png is currently not supported too.

Is there an alternative to export images to png (that does not require manual clicks)?

Thanks!
