"Scroll Box"/"Scroll Panel" widget: Does it exist / is it possible?

I am
looking for a way to place a bunch of figures within a “box” or
“panel” that has fixed boundaries and produces its own scroll bars
once the figures within that box take up too much space. (Similar to how a
DataTable behaves.)

My aim is
to place a “header row” of widgets at the top of my page. This header row is
supposed to stay visible, no matter how may plot figures I add below them. The
same should be true for the toolbar: All my figures share one toolbar that currently
gets out of view if I have to scroll down too far. This, of course, is quite
inconvenient, if I need to scroll back up just to select a different tool. (The
alternative, as seen on lots of web pages, is making the toolbar follow me
while I scroll down.)

It feels
like I explained it in a more complicated way than necessary…

Does such a
feature exist or could it be added? Or could I write it myself (and where would I start to look)?

Regards

Hi,

A similar question has been asked some time ago. Please refer to the two bottom messages: Redirecting to Google Groups
