Standalone Server Tutorials / Documentation

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some documentation or tutorials on deploying a standalone Bokeh server. I checked the docs page and it looks like that section is a work in progress. Any suggestions or links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Bob

Can you be specific about where you actually looked (i.e., an exact URL)? It is very difficult for us to efficiently improve our documentation (or anything else) without specifics. Are you referring to the note at the bottom of

  http://bokeh.pydata.org/en/latest/docs/user_guide/server.html#standalone-bokeh-server

? If so, that note is meant to apply to the "deployment" sections that follow, not the "standalone" section above, but I can see how the placement could be confusing. In any case, running a "standalone" bokeh server just means executing:

  bokeh server <command line options>

All the command line options for the "bokeh serve" command are described here:

  http://bokeh.pydata.org/en/latest/docs/user_guide/cli.html#module-bokeh.command.subcommands.serve

Note that the upcoming 0.11.1 release adds some new command line options, but they are mostly of interest for more involved deployment scenarios (e.g. HTTPS behind a proxy).

Thanks,

Bryan
