Custom(JS) formatter for hover tooltip?

I read that I can do datetime formatter and printf and numerical, but what if none of these fits my need? I do not see this covered in the docs

Take a look at Configuring plot tools — Bokeh 2.4.2 Documentation, especially the last sentence of the section.
