It seems the hover tool fails after I zoom in on a plot several times for a close up (using the ‘box zoom’ feature). Anyone else getting similar problems? Is this a bug within the code?

I've never seen this, so more information is needed. Ideally:
* a minimal complete test case to run
* screenshots or animated gif showing what you are seeing
