How to hide black windows when running a Bokeh server

Dear sir:
When I running a bokeh server for interactive web viewe,
[using code : curdoc.add_root(layout)]
It always has a black cmd windows behind that.

How to hide this windows when running a Bokeh server ?
If it can be hide,
the nest question is
when I close the interactive web,
the server can close or not ??

how to interrupt the Bokeh server ??

did anyone knows about this issue ??

Hi Tom,

It sounds like you want to run bokeh server as a background process.

Here’s a guide on running background processes in unix/linux - https://kb.iu.edu/d/afnz

As far as I know, Windows doesn’t have a direct equivalent but, some possible solutions can be found here- http://superuser.com/questions/198525/how-can-i-execute-a-windows-command-line-in-background

Dear Tyler :

Thanks you very much for getting back to me.
Actually, I want to use this Bokeh server as a app function not only a background process.

[windows cmd Code] : bokeh server myweb.py --show
when I execute the above cmd in the windows system ,the interactive myweb can show itself,
and then close the web, the server can close itself too.

Is It seems hard to do it in windows system ??
Or It can do that,I must used another cmd ??

In my app (I run Windows), I call a subprocess in a thread so the server get running. Then I point to the web page.

Code is here : https://github.com/ChristianTremblay/BAC0/blob/master/BAC0/bokeh/BokehServer.py
