Saving state of a standalone bokeh document

Hi All,
I was wondering if it’s possible to save the state of a standalone bokeh document, from the html document itself. Sometimes apps have many sliders and selectors, and a user may want to share the sliders/selectors/CDS/view with an other user.

The easiest option should be to use the browser ‘save as html’ option, but it’s half working (see Save Bokeh Plot as Bokeh Plot #5231 ). Is there any other way, for example to save a json describing the document state, and a tool to restore it from the html document ?

Best,

Olivier

I agree. This would also be good for saving the changes users make in editable tables in standalone files.

Hi,

This would be a great task for a new contributor.

Thanks,

Bryan
