Hello Bryan.

I don’t want the small squares as shown here: http://bokeh.pydata.org/en/latest/docs/user_guide/charts.html#bar-charts. And in place of numeric values, I want strings in x-axis. What should I do?

Hi,

I recommend using the vbar method from bokeh.plotting at the moment:

  http://bokeh.pydata.org/en/latest/docs/user_guide/plotting.html#bars

This will not have a legend by default, and offers better control over things. E.g. it will work fine with categorical x-axes for instance.

Thanks,

Bryan
