Trying to make choropleth map at US state level, what is this state or country??

Hello,
Simple question or request. I am trying to make a state choropleth map. When I render the map, It shows this mysterious group of islands off to the far right of the U.S. which severely distorts the chart. Any ideas how I can remove them somehow?

Here’s a gist, but it doesn’t render the bokeh chart:

Nevermind. Apparently they are part of Alaska. But not sure why they are wrapped around to the far right of the US.
